Foster Puppies!!!!

Guess what??? Our parents finally let us get another foster dog!!! Remember when I told you the animal shelter had a sickly momma dog with 8 pups? Well, the momma's not doing so well, so the animal shelter peeps have asked people to foster some puppies (2 in each home to keep them together). We got two on Sunday (the 24th) and they were 4 weeks to the day. That means they were born on Christmas Eve!! How cute. They're really too young to be taken from their momma, but the momma cant keep nursing and taking care of 8 puppies.

Sunday, me, mom, and my friend went to the shelter and picked out two wittle puppies (both females). Their names are Brynn (the white one) and Shelli (the black one). Not the best names... but whatever. I didn't name them. Here are some pictures for you guys. BTW, they ain't that great cuz my camera really sucks, lol. but here ya go:

Until next time, my friends!

New Puppies!!

Guess what?? The local animal shelter just got a new dog (Darby) that was very pregnant, and on December 27th, Darby gave birth to TWELVE puppies!! Unfortunately, four of the puppies died :( But there's still eight left, and Darby is sickly. The shelter has asked people if they can to come and bottle feed the puppies every four hours. But whoever does that has to be 16 or older, and I'm only 15 :(

But, they said they will definitely need lots of foster homes for them once they're weaned, so that will be around February 11th, and mom said we can foster one!! EEP!! I can NOT(!!) wait!! I'll get to train it, get it used to people and i absolutely LOVE(!!) doing that!! I love training dogs, it's SOOO much fun for me!!!! I feel really accomplished when they learn something :)

That's why I love the pet-sitting job I have twice a week. My neighbor, Mrs. Diane, got a little puppy named Lily a while back, and she's SO cute! She asked me to come and watch her and help train her for an hour on Tuesdays and Fridays, while she can go upstairs and do whatever, and not have to worry/watch about Lily. It's a lot of fun! I also get paid $7 an hour, so $14 a week which ain't bad for me, lol. I've taught Lily to lay down, shake, go lay down (in her bed), and roll over. Mrs. Diane already taught her to sit. I wanna teach her more things, but I can't think of any... Got any ideas?? I really need some!

Anyways, Here are two pictures of Darby and her puppies when they were a day old. For the record, I did NOT take these pictures. These came off of the shelter website.

Until next time, my friends!

Animal Shelter "Mega Motor Festival"

Man, i typed up a lot of this post and then it deleted. AHH i have to type it over again:

Sorry it's taken so long to post this post about the animal shelter's Mega Motor Festival last saturday (the 22nd). Unfortuneatly they didn't bring any of their dogs because they didn't know if it would be really hot or not. But it was a really nice day!

A lot of cars showed up for the car show/contest, but only four motorcycles showed up for the motorcycle show/contest. We sold hotdogs, chips, drinks (all $1 each!!!), homemade cookies and brownies, and things for cats and dogs. A guy came with a trailer and sold fair food and gave half his earning to the animal shelter. It was a great day, we rais $1,370!!!

Me and mom sold drinks and the food.
There, they had police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and tractors that everyone could get into and look at and stuff. And then later, they had a hospital helicopter come and land!!!! I videoed it, and i'll put that on here later. I don't have time right now, about to go somewhere.
Here are pictures I took from that day:

Mom, and two volunteers (forgot their names lol), my brother Adam (he came later in the day. these pix aren't in order), and jesse; where we sold the food and drinks

Animal Shelter Thingie

I've been needing to post about this, and I was going to post it Saturday, but I got grounded! So here goes!

Sometime last month (September), at a big park about 45 minutes from where I live; there was an animal shelter event. It wasn't just the animal shelter that I volunteer at, but all the animal shelters in the big city near us (can't say the name!) were at this event. I can't remember the name of the event ):

Anyways, the animal shelter that I volunteer at brought 20 dogs! Including my foster dog, Jessica. I had Jessica on a leash most of the time, but when I went to the other shelter's tents, my mom held her, or I put her in her kennel in 'our' animal shelter's tent.

One of the animal shelters had a whole bunch of puppies! They were sooo cute! I didn't have my camera that day, so I don't have any pictures :(.

One tent there wasn't an animal shelter, but it was a wildlife sanctuary! There were 2 women, and 1 man at the tent. One of the women's name was Toni. She was the main person I think. Anyways, They had put a small cage out, and put a huge tortoise in it.

Anyways, I got to talking to them about how when I grow up, I want to start my own wildlife sanctuary. I helped them make some signs and taped them up on their tent.

We had two women who were very interested in adopting Jessica. One lady was going to adopt her in October (this month) or November (I can't remember which one). The other lady walked her around for a while, and decided to adopt her! She took her home that day. I was so sad. I had become so attached to Jessica, and it was very hard to let her go. I was really sad for a couple of days, and I really missed her. But I know that it's good that she got adopted, and now I can get a new foster dog!

When the Wildlife Sanctuary people were tearing down, and loading stuff into their van, I asked if I could help. So Toni and the other women handed me stuff, and I took it to the van where the man loaded it into the van. They were so nice, they gave me a free t-shirt (about their sanctuary) and a key chain with a stuffed animal wolf on it.

Before they had started tearing down, they had given some 'demonstrations' with 3 animals they brought. They brought a (not including the tortoise) Kinkajou, a Fennec Fox, and a Capuchin Monkey named Popeye!!

Info about Popeye:

Popeye is a 41 year old (!) Capuchin Monkey. His name is Popeye cause he only has one eye. When Popeye was just a little baby monkey, someone bought him as a pet. Monkeys do not make good pets. Why? Cause when Monkeys are about 2 years old, they turn 'mean'. They start biting, and they aren't as nice as they used to be.

When Popeye started biting, his owners locked him into a teeny tiny cage. Monkeys need to climb and have plenty of room, but Popeye didn't have that. The cage was so small, he couldn't even stand up! And when I monkey is hungry, you think they want banana's, right? Wrong. Popeye doesn't like banana's.

Whenever Popeye would try to bite, his owners would punish him by either taking his water away, or replacing his water with whiskey, which made him drunk and sick. Because he was in such a small place, and couldn't move around a lot, his bones didn't grow right. Now, Popeye can't jump, play, or climb like normal monkeys can.

That is why Monkey's don't make good pets. I felt so sorry for Popeye like everyone else there did too. But now, he gets very well taken care of. After everyone walked away (and Toni was still holding Popeye) I asked if I could pet Popeye, but Toni said not right then, cause other people might want to pet him too.

But later when I was finished helping them put stuff into their van, Toni remembered that I had wanted to pet Popeye, so she got him back out, and I got to pet Popeye the Capuchin Monkey!! He was scared, cause he thought I was going to take him away from Toni (of course I didn't!). It was so awesome. Adam (twin bro) was really jealous, cause the Capuchin Monkey is his favorite animal of all times! Poor Adam.. LOL

The next dog I wanted to foster was Shady. She was a sweet black Shepherd mix. Mom called dad, but dad wanted to take a break before getting another foster dog. :(

Last week, mom went up to the shelter to get Shady, and while she was waiting, she saw three adorable pit bull puppies in one of the kennels. She asked whoever was there if we could foster on of the puppies, and she said sure! There are 2 chocolate ones (one boy and one girl. named Hubba and Barnabiss), and 1 female tan one (named Yumi).

The puppies weren't spayed/neutered and didn't have a microchip yet. That was going to be done a few days later. Thursday, we were supposed to get a call from a women that worked there, and go pick up Hubba. But she never called! So.. We waited until Saturday after the adoption day we got her!

She is soooooo cute!!!!! She's just Amy's size. Amy does NOT like her. Hubba always runs up to Amy and licks her and tries to play with her, and Amy does not like it. Ranger just ignores the little pit bull.

None of my family or I like the name Hubba, so we changed her name to Emma. Emma learned the first day not to go into our kitchen or 'sun room' (where we eat). Saturday, she went to an adoption day, and normally we would get her back Saturday night, but she got diarrhea, and she had to get her stiches out, so we are going to wait and get her Wednesday (tomorrow). I can't wait! I miss her!

Here are 9 pictures of Emma:

i love this one! It's my background :)

Emma in the car while we were still at the shelter (the first day we got her)

Emma looking at Valley -- confused.

Emma with a toy looking at me confused. She gave this look ALL the time. Everytime she saw something she didn't know what it was (or what we were doing) she would turn her head side to side with her ears perked up.

Amy finally played with Emma

Amy got mad at Emma for getting into her basket

Quickly catching up on things

Well, I need to finish catching up on everything that happened in August, so here I go:

August 6th: Stephanie and Allison came over one day and spent the night! That was a lot of fun. We got a piece of wood, and wrote on it 'No Swimming' and drew a person swimming and crossed it out. We wanted to go swimming and hold the sign up and take a picture. The other side of the wood, we wrote 'no diving' and drew a person diving and crossed it out. We ended up going swimming (the next day), but we forgot to get the sign, so instead we stuck it on top of the toilet. :D

August 7th, Me, Adam, Luke, Stephanie, Allison, and Luke's friend Craig all went swimming in our lake. It took forever before Craig got in. Me and Luke swam to where he was standing on the shore, and pulled him in.

After we finished swimming, Luke's two friends Jonathan and Lexi came over. We all hung out in the living room for a long time, until Stephanie and Allison had to go home. So Craig, Lexi, and Jonathan left, and Luke went with mom to take Stephanie and Allison home.

NEXT!

August 7th: That night, my mom and I went to a small theatre, and we were ushers! We handed out programs as people came in, and we got to watch the play! It was High School Musical. I think their performance was better than the movie! It was soooo funny! The person who play Ryan was HILARIOUS. After the show, the cast came out back, and everyone got to meet them. I got (I'll use their play names) Ryan's, Sharpey's, and Gabriella's autographs. :D I had a good time. :)

NEXT!!

August 8th: Well, since Crayon, Mikaela, and Polo (all the puppies I wanted to foster) got adopted, we decided to foster Jessica. :) Jessica is a 1 year old, brindle female pit bull mix. She (along with Ranger and Amy) is the BEST dog EVER! I want to adopt her, but mom and dad said only two dogs at a time *rolls eyes*. She is a little bit smaller than Amy, and is so cool. In the mornings when mom comes to wake us kids up, she follows her upstairs into our rooms and just follows mom everywhere around the house. Sometimes she can get VERY hyper, it's so funny. She loves Ranger and Amy, but Ranger doesn't really like her that much. She and Amy play a lot. I've taught her to sit, shake (with both paws *wink*), lay, and basically rollover. And I'm working on stay. I will post a slide show of her later. I also have several videos of her, I'll try to post later.

NEXT:

August 10th: I was walking Jessica by the lake (barefoot) when she jumped away and slipped out of her collar. I jumped after her, and my right pinkie toe hit a stump. I fell down, and quickly put the leash around Jessica's neck and put her collar back on. I was in a lot of pain (my toe). I sat out there for like 30 minutes before I finally slowly scooted on my rear up to the house which was kinda a long way to scoot. I didn't walk on that foot for like a week, and I figured I broke my toe. I didn't walk on it until you read another paragraph.

NEXT:

August 14th: My youth pastor's wife Andrea had her first baby Kaylee Grace *******!! She was born 10 days before her due date. The next Thursday, mom, Luke, Adam, and I went to see her. She's so tiny and cute!!!

NEXT:

August 16th: The animal shelter held a 'Pet's in the Park' thing at some place. They had a tent with things to sell, and they brought some of their dogs (we brought Jessica). They got k9 police men to come and do a demonstration. They had a dog sniff out marijuana in a car. It took him a while, cause there was a lot of people and other dogs around, and he gets a little bit distracted. I filmed that, so I will post it on here ASAP. The video is on the other computer (I'm on the laptop), so I'll have to wait till I can get on there. But a lot of people showed up at the 'pet's in the park' thing, and brought a lot of dogs. I saw soo many different breeds, and some funny costumes, I'll post pictures later.

They had a small dog show too. Only two dogs entered the tricks contest, and only one did tricks! LOL! It was pretty obvious on the biggest dog smallest dog. The biggest dog was a really fluffy Samoyed, and the smallest dog was a 4 month old teacup poodle in a tutu. She was so cute!

NEXT:

August 26th: At 9:30pm this day, my piano/voice teacher Mrs. Mica, had her first baby, Maci Renee ****. I haven't seen her yet, but I can't wait to see what she looks like. She was 3 weeks early. Her due date wasn't until September 14th.

NEXT:

August 30th (today): GUESS WHAT!?!? My friend and her brother (Luke's friend) live in Florida, and Luke and I are going to fly by ourselves to visit them!! We leave tomorrow, and will be back Friday. We will have to switch plans in North Carolina. I'm so excited. It's one of many adventures ahead of me.
One flight mom found would have taken us to Michigan, then to Flordia. CRAZY!!

I will take my journal with me on the trip like I did when I went to Utah, and write in it everyday, so I can tell you about all the fun I had on this adventure. Speaking of Utah, I still haven't posted pictures from my trip there. I need to do that.

I have to go pack, and do some stuff, so TTYL!!!

Animal Shelter 5k run & adoption day

Wow. I haven't posted in like... too long ago! Sorry! And a LOT has happened since the last time I posted. I'll post one post for each thing, soo... I'll get started!!

I guess I'll start with the animal shelter's (I'll say 'AS' for short) 5k run. August 2nd, the AS had a 5k run at a big park. A LOT of people showed up, and there were quite a few dogs as well. I wasn't really needed, so for a little while, I took Crayon (one of the AS puppies that I was going to foster) out for a walk. She is so cute. Her sister Polo was there too, but she had gotten adopted, and was going to her new home that day. The PetSmart table had four kittens they were giving away for free, and they were so cute! There were two black ones and two black and white ones I think. The AS made over $5000 that day!! That will help them a lot.

At that park, they have a field with Buffalo in it! The fence is crappy -- I mean bad (I pick up things from my older bro). :D It's just uh.. well.. I'll just show you a picture in my next post. I might do a slideshow. But not with slide.com, cause for some reason there isn't a 'save' button. Anywhoo.. I took pictures of the buffalo which I'll put in a slideshow later.

When we left the park, my mom and I went to an adoption day that the Animal Shelter was holding at PetSmart. Gina (lady that works at the Animal Shelter) had Polo and Crayon, but she wouldn't be there for a while, cause she took Polo to her new home. But she finally came with Crayon. There were quite a few other dogs there. One of the dogs was Jessica. A 1 year old, female, brindle pit bull mix. She is soooooo sweet. I had played with her the last time I had gone to the shelter. I told mom that if Crayon got adopted that day, then I would like to foster Jessica if we could. My mom said we probably could!

I looked around the store a while, and watched the dogs in the 'doggy day-care' and 'doggy hotel'. I think that that stuff is so stupid. They have this place in the pet store that's a 'doggy hotel'. The front desk, and what you'd call a 'lobby' was just like a real hotel, and they charge a lot of money for like nothing! The 'suites' is this tiny room, with a what-they-call-nice-bed-which-really-isn't bed, and a tv! WHAT DOG NEEDS A TV!? The tv is what makes it a suite, and they charge you extra for it! There was a little fluffy dog in there (I'll show picture later) that was jumping up on the window looking at me and whining and barking.

And the 'doggy day-care' is this room, with a LOT of dogs in there of all breeds, shapes, and sizes, and like 1 or 2 people in there, and the dogs play. Luckily they don't really fight much. One dog sat by the door the WHOLE time, and didn't move. LOL. She/he looked soooooo miserable!! The poor thing. And as you may or may not know, I'm a pet-sitter, and people bring their dogs to my house for MUCH better treatment, for WAAAAY less! I was soooo tempted to go up to those people who were taking their dogs into the 'hotel', "COME TO MY HOUSE!! WAAY cheaper prices, and WAAY better treatment! :D :D". I think the people would have kicked me out of the store though....

I'll make a slideshow of this whole day later, and put it on this post. So come back later and check this post for it.

Also, I have sooooo much more to write about, so I'm going to make one post for each thing, so it won't be a super long post, and so I'll have posts to post.

Again, sorry I haven't posted in so long.

Pet-sitting/Steph & Al/Mitch/ANOTHER blog/Mikala

Hey!

Tuesday, my friend Mitch, and her bro Zack came over. They live in Florida, but they came here for a few weeks. Last week, Mitch went to a church camp, and it sounded like so much fun! And then Tuesday-today they stayed at our house. Then they went to I think a relitive's house, and then the last week their here, Zack has his camp.

Me and Mitch had so much fun while she was here. First of all, Mitch is not her real name. That's her nickname she got at camp. And so I started calling her Mitch, and she calls me Mitchie. We made a blog while she was here. It's a blog where we write reviews. Reviews about; movies, books, music, ect..

Both nights she was here, we slept on one of our trampolines (we got 2). Last time she was here, we slept on the trampoline, but when it dewed, it got our pillows and blankets really wet, and we were FREEZING! So this time, we put a tarp over the top of the trampoline (the trampoline has a net on it) so we woulnd't get wet. We got a blanket and laid it down, and we put sleeping bags on the blanket, and slept in them.

Yesterday, we went swimming in our lake. We kept freaking ourselves out with thoughts of squids and sharks and other sea creatures being in there. But it was fun!

Luke and Zack are making a western movie. It's so fun to watch, cause they stink at acting!! Well, Zack's kinda good at it, but Luke and Mitch (she's in it as Luke's wife! LOLOLOL!) are really bad! It was sooo funny. But I think the best actor was VALLEY! She got to be in it! And she got worked with in it too, cause Zack actually got on and off of her quite a few times, and yesterday, Luke got on her too! So now, I'm not the only one that's ridden her! She did so good!

Anyways... once their finished with the movie, I'm going to see if it's possible to put it on my blog. But IDK...

Today, we were supposed to get the puppy Mikala (fostering), but Gina (lady that works at the shelter) called and said that when she took the puppies to the vet, she found out they got mange! But luckily it's not contagious. So I can't get her until 30 days! URG!! I was SOOO excited to get her!! Oh well...

Also today, Bailey (the pastor's [of the church I go to] dog) came over. I'm pet-sitting her until Saturday afternoon. I also have two other pet-sitting this weekend too! Yea!

Tomorrow, as everyone knows, is fourth of July! Since my g-parents are in Utah on a year mission trip; the first time in 13 years, we aren't going to Arkansas to celebrate for the fourth. :( But if we did go, no one would be here to do these pet-sitting jobs!!

Tomorrow, we are having a cook out! :) And guess who's coming? STEPHANIE AND ALLISON! WAHOO!!!! I can't wait! It's going to be fun fun fun!!

I guess that's all... soo.. talk to you later!

-Mitchie (aka Sarah)

P.S. Do you think I should keep my blogger name as my real name Sarah, or should I change it to Mitchie? I like Mitchie!!

Sorry!/Get Smart/youth camp/game night/fostering/Bully/kicked/camp rock/bird nest/leslie

Hey!
Sorry it's been sooo long!!! I apologize!! Summer's are busy busy busy!!

So yesterday, we had our 3rd or 4th youth day. Which is where, our youth group goes somewhere all day together once a week to hang out. Yesterday it was Miley (not her real name), Juliana (aka JuJu which is what our youth pastor -- whom on blogger I'll call PBJ, his initials -- calls her), Luke, Adam, Hot Sauce (this dudes nickname), Taylor, Craig, Lizzy, PBJ, that went. We first stopped at Taco Bell, then went to the Malco theatre, and saw Get Smart. It was soo funny! I love that movie now. It had some language in it, but besides that it was great! The movie was rated Pg-13. It had some violence in it, and language, blah blah blah. I'm so glad we saw it. :) Steve Carrel is funny!

So. I never updated on Youth Camp. The reason: I didn't do what I said I was going to do. I didn't write in my journal. :( I wish soo badly I had. But I left it in the cabin, so I didn't have much time to write in it, and when I did have time, I didn't feel like it at all. But it was soo much fun!! A lot of us in our youth group got people to sign our camp shirts. I signed Reid's (one of the dudes in our youth group) shirt right on the stomach, in BIG letters, that said 'SARAH WUZ HERE!' LOL. And I circled it. It really stands out!! And I wrote on his older brother (Who used to sing in our youth group band on Wednesday nights) Tad's shirt; "Come back to V****** L*** (the name of our church. Can't say it on blogger!), you sing better than PBJ!!" LOL. Then I wrote on both of his arms 'Property of: Sarah". Then I put a little copyrighted sign beside my name. LOL. Then on his upper arm near his shoulder, I drew a big heart, and I drew hearts around where I wrote on his arm. I also drew hearts on Reid's and their younger brother Holt's arm. LOL. I used to be kind of shy around them, but since youth camp, I'm not at ALL. And I'm more outgoing to other people too. :) Cause me and Lizzy would go up to random people and start talking to them. :D

Friday night, our youth group had a game night. Luke, JuJu, Craig, Lizzy, Taylor, Taylor's bf (idk what his name is), Caleb (YCF), his lil bro Jonathan, John's friend Jacob, Zoe (YCF), and I were all the ones that went. Adam was at his friends house spending the night. Caleb came in wearing a BIG Mexican hat, Zoe was wearing a cowboy hat, and braids, and Jacob had a huge straw hat on. It looked soo funny! And Jacob also had his swimming trunks over his jeans, and was wearing a toe ring!! It was FREAKY! Also, thanks to Craig for mentioning something... PBJ kept making fun of me liking Holt (see above paragraph). I was like, "I don't like him anymore!!" And he's like, "ANYMORE?!" I'm like, "I USED to like him". And I think Craig or JuJu said that Holt used to like me too (which is true). He's still like, "Hooooollltt!!" It's creepy. It doesn't bother me. Usually it would... actually it wouldn't. LOL. I don't really care how much he makes fun of me. It don't bother ME!

GUESS WHAT!?!? Sometime (probably) this week, we are going to get to foster a puppy from the animal shelter!!! The other day me and mom went to the shelter to volunteer, and to pick out what dog we wanted to foster. I fell in love with these three sisters. They are probably shepherd mixes. Their so tiny. I little bit smaller than Amy (my little dog). The most playful and loves to bite one is black on her back and head, and the bottom half of her is brown, and shaggy ears. Her name is Polo. The quietest one is all tan, but her muzzle is black. Her name is Crayon. And the one we are probably going to foster is Mikala. She is All tan, with one or two white spots, and I think maybe some black on her. Can't remember. LOL. Anyways. All three of them are already in the same foster home, but Gina (one of the ladies that works at the shelter) said that the lady that is fostering the puppies probably wouldn't mind having one less puppy. The pups are getting fixed this week, so I can't get Mikala until after that. :( I can't wait though!!! :)

Tomorrow, unfortunately, Bully is getting butchered. :( I'm gonna miss him. I'm the only person in my family that thinks he's semi-nice. I don't want him to leave!!!

You might have read on my http://trainingvalley.blogspot.com/ blog, that Valley kicked me today. It didn't really hurt though. For more details click on the link above.

Friday night was the world premiere of Camp Rock starring the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato!! I didn't watch it until Sunday night though, so I could watch it with JuJu and Miley. They spent the night. It was awesome. I really liked the movie. One reason, cause the second star was JOE JONAS. Anyways.. After the movie, I got Luke's electric guitar, and played Yankee Doodle Dandy (which I thought was Ode to Joy, and my friends thought was Mary had a little lamb. lol!!), pretending to be the opening act for the Jonas Brothers. LOL. Then, that night we stayed up late, making our own dance moves to the hip-hop song from camp rock, 'Hasta La Vista'. That was sooo much fun! And today, I taught most of it to Adam, but then he wanted to stop.

You'll never guess where I found a bird nest yesterday. So I was moving the bikes around the porch, and all of the sudden, on one of the bikes, a bird flew out of the little pouch on the bike. I looked in the pouch, and there was 5 bird eggs!! I was like, wow!! It's going to be VERY crowded when those birds hatch! LOL. I hope they'll be small birds!! But when they learn to fly, if they fall, it's not much of a fall!

And the last thing I got to say, is that a few weeks ago, I got rid of one of my hamsters - Leslie. Leslie and Lola were in the same cage, but then Leslie started beating up on Lola, and biting her. So I had moved Lola into my bird cage that I had before my bird (Tweety Hot Wings was his name. LOL!!) died. A hamster in a bird cage. Hm... Lol. Anyways, but then Lizzy came over one day, cause we were taking her to Caleb's b-day party with us, and she said that she wanted a hamster, so I let her borrow my cage, and take Leslie home with her. And so she did! But now, Lola seems kind of depressed. :( She just sleeps all the. Even at night (their nocturnal).... at least... I think she does. I don't know. It might be because in the other cage, she had a wheel she could exercise on, but now, she has nothing! I did buy her a ball/wheel, but it's too big to fit in the cage. But today, I put her in it, and took her outside to roll around on it, and Ranger wanted to eat her! He was pushing the ball around and around, and poor Lola was getting tumbled around and around. When I held the ball up, Ranger woulds stare at it, and lick his lips. LOL! Oh, also, about a week ago, I let my snake, Caspian go. So I will be taking the Caspian, Leslie, and Bully pictures off of my blog. :(

Well, I got to go. It's 12:18 am. So TTYL!

Most Horrible Thing of the Year

I'm asking each and everyone of you to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray.

This news made me cry, it's the worst thing that's happened to me in a long time:

The Animal Shelter that I sometimes volunteer for, has been forced to close down/move due to complaining neighbors. They have until September to find homes for the (approximate) 100 Dogs, Cats, and Horses. They have no idea where their going to move to, and they probably won't be able to move. What does the mean will happen to the animals? Please please pray that something good will happen for them.
I love this place so much. I didn't get to go there to volunteer very much, but if I had a choice, I would have gone there everyday. I really really enjoy spending time with the dogs and puppies at this shelter, and it's horrible that I might never be able to again.
These animals deserve a second chance, just like God gave humans. What will happen to these animals if they can't find homes for them? Just think about how you would feel if these animals, was one of your pets? How would you feel? Their not my pets, but in my heart they are. Their animals, and I love them with all of my heart. Animals are God's creation. Think about that. Think about what's going to happen to these precious animals that God made.

I would give you the link to read about it on a news website, but it says where the Animal Shelter is located, and I live in the same county, and I can't give ya'll my information. Sorry.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and pray. Thank you so much.

My Looooong Weekend

Hello.
I have a LOT to write about my weekend! Here ye go:
Friday, me and mom went to the animal shelter (I'll post pics on another post *wink*). In the front little pen, were 5 puppies and they were soooo cute!! (their all boys, FYI) Well, I think all pups are cute :D. Anywhoo.. I have scratches (and a lil bit o' sun burn) all over both of my arms, and a scratch on my lip from them pups. They have SHARP claws!! Their claws are sharper than their teeth are!! Gina (the animal shelter lady) said that someone had dropped them off on the side of the road, and they just had to take 'em. I don't blame them! I'd take 'em too!
Here are the names I gave the pups:
Jack (sorta a tough guy name)- The small golden bully
Colby(3rd fav guy name)- The small golden biter (with black along her back bone and tail)
Jessie(4th fav guy name)- black with white markings and a little bigger than Jack and Colby. He also has a half tail.
Matt(2nd fav guy name)- the big fluffy black (with white markings) bob-tailed puppy
Willie(got the name from the Love Comes Softly series)- the biggest black, white, and brown puppy that gets picked on by the other puppies (namely Jack and Jessie). Also...my favorite :D
Jack & Jessie, although they are the smallest ones, they kept picking on Willie.....the BIGGEST one! Poor Willie...that's kinda why he's my favorite one. So, I picked up Willie, and sat down with him on a bench that was in their pen, so the other pups couldn't get him. I held Willie in my lap, and I petted the other 4 puppies, who had their front paws on the bench. A little later, Jack started to fight with Jessie, and Jack doesn't fight playfully. When Jack fights, he means BUSINESS. After a minute (probably less, idk), later Jessie started whining. So I tried to break them up, but Jack was biting on to Jessie's neck, and wouldn't let go, and I didn't want to hurt Jessie worse. That's when I noticed blood on both of the pups faces!! So I ran to the office where mom and Gina were. I told Gina that two of the pups were fighting and bleeding some. So she's like, "*sigh* those puppies fight all the time" (or something like that, can't remember). When we got back to the pen, Jack and Jessie had stopped fighting. When we opened the gate, Jack was the first puppy we saw. He was the one beating up on Jessie, but HE was the only one that got injured! Gina realized it was worse than what she had pictured when I told her they were fighting. Jack's cheek had swollen up kinda big, and really quickly too, which worried Gina. His cheek also had blood all over it! She checked Jessie, and he just had a little bit of blood on his cheek and neck, and it didn't look like it was from him, but from Jack. Gina had to take him to the vet. She was surprised that his cheek had swollen up so quickly.
Later, when Gina brought him back, Jack's cheek was hardly swollen, and the blood was gone. She said when she got to the vet, Jack also had a fever! Really weird... Anywhoo.. Gina put Jack right back with the puppies, which surprised me. But, whatevs. Jack almost immediately tried to fight again! So, just like I did with Willie, I picked him up, and sat down on the bench with him in my lap. At first, he growled and tried to bite the other puppies who came over for attention. But I held on to him so he couldn't. When Gina walked past the fence, Jack would jump off my lap, and follow the puppies to the fence. But, the first two times he did that, he tried to get in some fights. So I had to put him back in my lap. After a while, he gave up on fighting. When I was petting him, he picked up his paw, and accidentally scratched me above my lip. That didn't feel to good.
My right arm has scratches all over it from Colby. He really likes to scratch and bite!
The worst conditioned dog there was Fisher. A shih-tzu. Some man found him on the side of the road. Fisher's nails hadn't been cut for like a year, and his nail's had like curled in complete circles! And her fur had been all matted, and her eyes were REALLY dry, so they looked...weird. But when I saw him (I think it's a him...) his nails had been cut to normal, and she barely had any fur, cause they had to get rid of all the matted stuff. She also had scabs ALL over her. I hope so badly she'll heal completely, and that she'll go to a great home. Me and mom wanna foster her when she's ready. We'll see..
Two of the dogs me and mom really like, were brother and sister Magoo and Malta. Terrier mix I think. They reminded us of the dog Bobby in the book "Greyfriars Bobby" by Eleanor Atkinson. We read part of the book, but never did finish it. Both dogs are really shy, and they get so scared, they pee whenever and wherever. Yeah. Gross, I know. Magoo is more shy than his sister Malta. I think their really pretty. I wanted to foster one, but Saturday they got adopted! Yea!
The animal shelter still has 3 Cocker Spaniels left from the time they rescued 27 of them from a breeder. Their names are Inga, Morgan, and Jada. Jada's my fav. She's ALWAYS happy, and always full of energy, and she's very hyper. INga & Morgan are reeally quiet, (and pretty) mostly Morgon, but Jada is the opposite. She was really hyper, running around, wagging her stub of a tail, and when she'd calm dopwn some, she'd hop inot my lap and sit there panting. I really want to foster her. :)
Zombie is what you call a gentle giant. He is a purebred big Rottweiler. He LOVES attention. He'll give me a paw, and jumps up (well, put's his front paws on) against the wall, to get more attention. He's so sweet and loving. And...big. Pretty big.
That night, me and Adam spent the night at our friends house (my friend: Shae(7) Adam's friend: Holt(13)). We went to a baseball park I guess you'd say (little league) to watch Amanda's (Tad(almost 17) and Reid's(15) friend) little brother play baseball. WELL...we didn't exactly WATCH it. We played baseball in another field. Me and Adam didn't really play much, we mostly just watched (I'm not that good at sports, but I wanna be!).
That night, at their house, Amanda and her friend Kat came over for a little while. We played tag a little bit, and when Reid wasn't looking, I stuck a frog (that had peed all over itself) down his shirt. :D That was fun. He said he'd get me back, but he hasn't yet.
Later, after Amanda and Kat had left, I was making a SKILLET sign (similar to the one I have at home), and Shae told me to give it to Tad, since he likes Skillet the most outta their family. So I wrote on the back that it was to Tad. Then Reid came in, and he said the he like Skillet more than Tad did, so I added his name to the back of the sign. Then I gave it to him, and he went out of the room to where Tad was playing a computer game, and Adam and Holt were playing video games. And Reid was like, "Tad! Look what Sarah made for you!" and I yelled back, "IT'S TO YOU TOO REID!!!" He ignored me and was like, "Sarah likes Tad!" or something like that, can't remember, and then I was like, "SHUTUP! NOT TRUE! AND SHAE TOLD ME TO GIVE IT TO YOU!!!!" And I never saw that piece of paper again..
Sunday, mom, Adam, and I (mom want's me to say it that way, and not: me, adam and mom, like I usually do *rolls eyes* WHO CARES ABOUT PROPER GRAMMER!!!!) went to my great-grandma's 84th b-day party. She lives in a retirement home FYI. It was pretty simple. Small room, and just cake and punch. Well, after me and and my second cuz Kaitlen ate a piece of cake, we saw quite a few dogs outside (with people of course). They were there to visit with the people at the retirement home. We saw them training them too. They laid down a BIG Mastiff, and a St. Benard on the ground, and the other dogs jumped over them. One dog jumped over the St. Benard, but didn't make it over the Mastiff. Instead, he LANDED on him! Lol. I got to pet the St. Benard and one touch of the Mastiff!! First time for me to pet a Mastiff.
Well, I guess that's it. Talk to you lata! *waves*
