UP, UP,UP and away!! (in a house)

Last night, me and my two brothers went to see the movie, UP. The movie started at 5:30 and we were late. We were like 10 minutes late before we even got there so we just decided to see the 7:35 showing instead. Luke had a friend (Jacob) that worked not too far away at a restaurant, so we went there to see if he still worked there and if he did, to say hi. He didn't work there anymore, but we decided to eat there. I had a chicken sandwich, and the chicken was in the shape of a heart lol.

Right across the street was the Starbucks Jacob used to work at, and a girl working at the restaurant said he might be working there again. So we went to Starbucks but he didn't work there... so we just went back to the movie theatre. We were late, lol. We bought our ticket and walked into the theatre and NObody else was in that one. Probably because we were seeing the 2D version instead of the 3D (because Luke doesn't like 3D. GUR I've never seen anything in 3D before...) and everyone probably went to the 3D one.

We took our seats and we were like 15 minutes late, but the commercials were just starting. the movie didn't even start until 30 minutes past the time it was supposed to.. because we three were the only ones in the theatre, we were talking loudly, and Luke kept yelling. It was fun. I kept thinking I was disturbing someone, but there weren't any other people in there, lol.

The movie was really good :) It wasn't quite as funny as the commercials show it to be, and it had hardly any of the stuff in the movie that they showed on the commercials, but I still really liked it :) I want to see it again. I love the beginning which shows Carl Fredrickson (the old guy, ya know) when he was like 8 or 9, and he meets this kind of crazy girl (she had short, spiky, wild hair and a missing tooth :P) named Ellie who dreams of building her house on Paradise Falls which is in a lost land. And Carl ends up marrying her and it shows the time pass as they grow older and then they are real old, and Ellie dies before they could take their adventure to Paradise Falls. And then the story goes on from there as it shows on the commercials.

It is a really great movie and I encourage everyone who is reading this to go see it. It is a heartfelt movie about an old man named Carl who has to fulfil a promise, a little boy named Russel who wants to earn his "helping the elderly" badge, a "talking" dog named Doug who wants to help his new masters, and a colorful "non-existing" bird named Kevin who loves chocolate. The bird is a girl by the way.

I would love to tell you all about the movie, but that would be spoiling it for those who have not seen it yet... If you have not seen UP, I hope you will, and I hope you like it as much as I do.

We are having a garage sell tomorrow, and I have to get up early, so I better go... I have more to say, but I'll save that for another post.

Day with my grandparents

I just posted a post because I was tagged, so you can read that below this post. But I decided to go ahead and post about my day yesterday with my grandparents before I.... don't. So, here I go!

Grandpa (mom's dad) and Grandma (my moms step mom) came over at about 11:30. We sat in the living room and talked for a few, then we decided to go out for lunch. We drove to a mexican resteraunt (I got a hamburger :D) and yeah. After we ate, me and my brothers went to the new ATV store right next door. I forgot to say that before we left the house, I put on Grandpa's AWESOME tie. It is like a zipper kind of thing.. you pull the small part to tighten it, and just pull the reg part of the tie down to loosen it. It ROCKS! I wore it all day yesterday, and today.

So when we left there, we went to the bank so mom could get some money out of Luke's account to pay her back for money he borrowed. BTW, Luke left after the ATV store to go to his german classes.

After that, Grandpa drove to ******ville (can't say where!). While we were there, we stopped by the feed store to get some horse feed for Valley. Then I begged to drive around on some old country roads. And we did! We went down this one road, and then from then on, we didn't pay attention to where we turned, and we just drove. It was so pretty outside and it was so much fun!! We passed by some animalless-rolling-hills farm, which were really pretty.

When we finally got back to ******ville (we made a circle sorta), I made a comment wishing for ice cream. I guess wishes really do work.. because we went to Baskin Robins!

Merry Belated Christmas!!

Before you handcuff me and throw me in jail, I can explain!! Honestly, I can. :) I had to hurry up and pack and stuff on Christmas day cause we were going to see our grandparents (we call our Grandma, Nonnie btw). It took 4-5 hours to get there, so it was dark by the time we got there I was really tired. We watched tv for a few minutes then decided to open our presents.

None of our other family came (too far away) and Nonnie didn't even have a Christmas tree. It wasn't much of a Christmas.. we usually would be visiting our other grandparents, for a fairly big Christmas, but their in Utah on a mission trip, and they won't be back until Febuary, so we didn't get any presents from them this year :( Nonnie handed me my present and Adam his, and Mom hers. Adam opened his, and it was a remote control helicopter (NOT actual size :P). I took a while, and finally opened mine. It was an awesome pair of shoes!! I would have taken a pic, but my camera broke AGAIN (for the 4th time) so I'm getting a new one, and it hasn't come in yet. :( So i'll just put a pic of a shoe that's like mine that I got off the internet:

Well, that's what they look like, cept mine are darkish blue, and they look better :) Yesterday, me, Adam, Nonnie, and Mom went to Wal-mart, and I got some cool jeans that came with a belt and an AWESOME hoodie! When I get my camera, I'll take a pic and show it to you :) Adam got 2 pairs of jeans (one came with a belt :P) and a cool t-shirt. I couldn't find any good shirts for me at Wal-mart :'( but I was lovin my hoodie! It is SOOO warm! Thin, but WARM!

Then we came home and at some point we had our "day after Christmas dinner" :P. After dinner, me and Luke needed to get away so we headed to the little town. It was dark, and a strange place, but oddly.. we didn't get lost :P. Anyways, we stopped at 'Hastings' which is a movie/CD/book/magazine store. Me and Luke looked at CD's for a few mintues, and finding none we wanted, went our seperate ways. Not sure where he went... but I went...around looking for a book to buy. I REALLY wanted the 2nd Twilight book (I've only read the 1st one, and I couldn't wait till Wednesday to borrow it from my friend), but it was $20 and I only had $14. :( I spent an hour looking for a book, and I finally found one in the Christian section.

It's called "Every Now & Then" by Karen Kingsbury. I didn't know it until I bought the book (which cost $17... I borrowed a few from Luke :D), but it's the last book in a series of three books... I've read 4 chapters, and it's pretty good so far! Here is the description of the book:

Sound interesting? I thought it did. The book actually caught my attention because there is a dog on the cover of the book :P then I read the description and thought it sounded really interesting, so I bought it! When I finish the book, I'll do a book report on my writing blog. It has a pretty cool cover. Here's a pic of it I found on google images:

Anyways, today I slept in as usual, and when I got up, I ate breakfast (capn' crunch) and got on the computer (the laptop. we brought it with us) and was typing up this post until the battery went dead, and I couldnt get the charger to work. So I called Mitch and we talked some, and she told me about a book she read, and then I had to eat lunch (a late lunch) so I got off the phone, and ate lunch and got back on the laptop (I got the charger to work. it just needed to be reajusted..). Then I continued on this post and that's about it!

Well, I don't have anything else to say, so I think I'll sign off blogger for a while, call Mitch back, and play the song "Seventeen Forever" by Metro station, cause it's stuck in my head and I really like that song :P TTYL!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 ME!!!!!!!!!!!

December 14th, 1994 at 9:33am my "older" brother Adam was born.

December 14th, 2008 at 9:34am. *disco ball comes down, loud music starts playing* I'M FOURTEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been waiting and waiting to be 14, and now I finally am! *blows noisemaker* Yesterday, my family helped my grandma move, and she gave us twins our presents then. I got exactly what I asked for: Two of Declan Galbraith's albums: "Thank You", and "You and Me". they came together for only $18!! :) I was indeed a happy girl. Adam got money. Ya see, he bought a dirtbike on ebay for $900, and now he has less than a hundred dollars! So he just wanted money :) We're going to go pick it up today, and stop by and see Luke's gf on the way. Anyways, at my g-ma's house, I went out to dad's truck (he has a CD player *wink*) and listened to my CD.

This morning, mom woke me with 2 pancakes - with a '1' candle in the middle LOL - on a silver platter. :) WAHO! Birthdays rule...

OMG!!! Did you know I'm 14 now? :P

Oh, and my mom also gave me a card that had $10 in it :D Nice mommy.. BRB Valley got out *groans* back. I got her back in :) but I have to go take a shower (almost time to go to church!!).

Fishing/Voice Lessons

Hey guys!!

So this afternoon, my brother and I (Adam) took our boat out on the lake and went fishing! I have only fished once maybe twice in a boat before. We brought Amy along with us, and Ranger was on the shore the whole time whining. We sat out there for a while without any luck, when Adam finally caught a crappie (kind of fish)! He usually catches a lot of fish, he's a great fisherman. Adam put the fish in the fish net that was tied to the boat, and threw it in. put it went in sideways, and the door thingy came open, and the fish got out :( But luckily I snapped this picture before it happened:









Just a few minutes later, Adam caught another crappie! Here is a pic of Adam and that fish:









We made sure that we put the basket in the water right, and so it didn't get away.

I was kind of bummed that I hadn't caught anything, when I got a big tug on the line. I yelled, "I got one!!" I quickly reeled the line in, and pulled the big crappie up and into the boat. Adam got it off the hook, and handed it to me. He took this picture of me and the fish:

After Adam took the picture, I put the fish in the fish net with Adam's fish, and gently set it in the water.

A little while later, I got another big tug on the line! I was like, "I got another one!!" I quickly reeled the line in and then took the fish off the hook. The fish was another crappie, but it was smaller than the other one I had caught, and the ones that Adam had caught. I set down the fish, while I was doing something, but I didn't want him to not be able to breath for that long, so I took him by the mouth, and set him in the water for a second while I was holding him. But, unfortunately he got away :( But luckily I got a picture of him before he got away :)









We fished for a few minutes longer (didn't catch anything) before I had to go to voice lessons. So we paddled back to the shore, and pulled the boat ashore. I ran up to the house, changed clothes, brushed my teeth, and ran downstairs, and into the van. I brushed my hair on the way.

I finished the song 'Own My Own' from Les Miserables. It's a really pretty song! I really like it. The first time I sung it today, I didn't sing it very good, but when I had a drink of water I did a lot better. I thought I did it really good.

The song I'm singing this week is called Unexpected Song from Song and Dance. It's really pretty too. The first two pages (it's 5 pages long) I'm good at, but on the third page, on one part it goes down to the G below middle C, and I can't exactly do that.. Then it changes keys, and is higher, and I'm fairly good at that. I need to practice it, then I'll get it better.

Well, it's midnight, so I guess I better go :P I will post more soon (I got quite a bit to post about). Here are some more pictures from fishing:
